University Counseling and Consulting Services
612-624-3323. Walk-in services are offered from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the
Minneapolis East Bank location at 109 Eddy Hall 192 Pillsbury Drive S.E. (Southwest corner of Pillsbury Drive and
Pleasant Street, near Dinkytown). Any student feeling an urgent need to talk with a counselor can call UCCS or come
in to speak to a receptionist about seeing a counselor. These services are not the same as those available in an
emergency room and should not be substituted for a situation requiring immediate intervention.
Boynton Health Service Mental Health Clinic
Urgent counselors are available between 8:00 – 6:00 on Mondays and 8:00 – 4:30 on Tuesdays through Fridays.
Call 612-625-8475 to speak with an urgent counselor or come to the Mental Health Clinic on the Fourth floor of Boynton
Health Service located on the East Bank at 410 Church Street SE (Link to Map). These services are not the same as those
available in an emergency room and should not be substituted for a situation requiring immediate intervention. There may
be a wait to speak with an urgent counselor.

The Behavioral Emergency Center staff provides emergency care, assessment and referrals for people of all ages
in a behavioral crisis related to either mental health or substance abuse. The center is located on the Riverside
campus of University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. Patients check in through the Emergency Department.

those in emotional crisis with 24-hour, seven-day-a-week crisis counseling, assessment, and referral.
Ramsey County Adult Mental Health
651-266-7900 Ramsey County directly provides emergency services through the Adult Mental
Health Crisis Unit. The crisis unit provides phone and outreach services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

National Suicide Prevention Hotline

assistance to individuals in suicidal crisis by connecting them to the nearest available suicide prevention and
mental health service provider through a toll-free telephone number: 1-800-273-TALK (8255). It is the only national
suicide prevention and intervention telephone resource funded by the Federal Government.
Aurora Center
24 hour help line 612-626 9111 The Aurora Center provides free and confidential support for
victim/survivors and concerned persons effected by sexual violence, domestic violence, or stalking. An advocate
is also available through the help line 24 hours a day to join anyone in the emergency room who has experienced
sexual assault. Walk-in hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm. Located at 407 Boynton Health Services on the U of M East
Bank.
