Group Counseling for Students

  • Most UCCS groups are open to both undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Unless otherwise noted, all groups and workshops meet in Eddy Hall and require a pre-group orientation in order to maximize fit between the student and group.
  • Group size is usually limited to 5-8 members, and any records are confidential.
  • Groups are free of charge for undergraduate students registered for atleast 3 credits and for all active graduate students.
  • For more information or to schedule a meeting with a group facilitator, call 612-624-3323.  Email contact - muldo005@umn.edu
  • Groups fill quickly, so schedule a pre-group meeting as soon as possible. Prospective members' schedules may influence the choice of meeting day and time.

Especially for Graduate Students

All UCCS groups are open to graduate students. In addition, we offer the following groups especially for graduate students.

Dissertation and Thesis Support Groups. These groups, which meet every other week, provide support, focus, and problem-solving strategies for graduate students at the dissertation or thesis stage. These groups are very popular and there is frequently a wait for an opening. Six groups are running currently, and space becomes available as students complete their degrees.
Call 612-624-3323 to be put on the waiting list
